Thanks to the amazingly beautiful plants and bright exotic fish that live in these places, the reefs of Playa del Carmen are often used for underwater filming and creating great photos. The most popular locations are located at depths from 10 to 30 meters.
In the sea, not far off the coast of Playa del Carmen, there is a favorite object of divers - a fishing boat. A small vessel was sunk in 1995 to create an artificial reef. The maximum diving depth is 28 meters.
Due to the strong current, only experienced divers are allowed to dive into the boat. However, for amateurs, there is an opportunity to explore the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef with an abundance of exotic fish and other underwater inhabitants.
