Puerto Aventuras is one of the most famous places on the Mexican Caribbean coast. This is a closed city where most foreigners live, outsiders are not allowed there. This small town, located in the Riviera Maya tourist area, is of great interest to divers and spearfishing enthusiasts.
Due to its unique geographical location, the average annual water temperature off the coast is +25...+28 °C degrees. This provides good conditions for water hobbies and sports activities.
All locations for spearfishing are located near the coastal zone. Within 15-25 minutes by boat, you can get to the fishiest places. At the foot of the underwater reef, the visibility of the water is 20-30 meters, although sometimes due to the current it decreases to 8-10 meters. Despite this, everyone will be able to find the most comfortable depth in the transparent warm water.
Fishermen with different levels of training come to Puerto Aventuras to hunt. Both beginners and professional athletes can count on a luxurious catch. In these places, small sea fish, lobsters, and crabs are hunted, as well as large pelagic predators, king mackerel and barracuda.
The coast of the resort is great for extreme tourism and for scuba diving enthusiasts. On both sides of the reef, there is a wonderful opportunity to dive with a mask and explore the beauty of the seabed and go fishing to a depth of 24 meters. Divers and hunters are particularly interested in underwater caves, where an incredibly colorful world of the richest flora and fauna of these places opens up.
